Illinois BASSET Certification - TIPS® Training 

BASSET Certification is required for all seller/servers under a new law. Cook County implemented mandatory certification on 7/1/15. Check your county!


TIPS® is the global leader in responsible alcohol service training, Est. 1982. As an approved Illinois BASSET Certification training provider, by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILLC), TIPS® offers on-premise servers 3 year certification and the most widely employer  recognized alcohol certification in the US.

BASSET is the State Of Illinois Beverage Alcohol Seller/Server Education & Training Program. Effective July 15, 2015 a new law was enacted (Public Act 99-0046) requiring all on-premise alcohol servers (by-the-drink establishments, i.e, bars, taverns, restaurants, etc) to attend an approved BASSET training program. This new law will be phased in over the next three (3) years by jurisdiction. As of July 1, 2015 Cook County, Illinois requires alcohol training for all alcohol servers.
